| mijn idee voor kansen voor nieuwe technologieën voor ontwikkelingssamenwerking: |
| Studies show that girls that have attended school are more likely to see their dreams fulfilled than those who have not. As a matter of fact they can lift a whole family out of poverty and thereby benefiting entire communities and generations to come. Implanting new technology in schools will play an essential role in improving the quality of education and keeping kids up to date with developments around the world. Besides that, new media will contribute to more effective campaigning and advocacy initiatives that will speak on behalf of those girls that need to be heard. Technology has undoubtedly been a major catalyst for change… however it will only remain just an illusion for many if we don’t face up with the challenges that will be a part of seeing all parts of the world benefit from the opportunities new technology has to offer. I believe we can contribute to a better implementation in developing countries by encouraging organizations to unite their efforts. By working closely together with people on the field and creating awareness on what technology has to offer we can facilitate needed resources and enhance the educational experience for those who dream of it. |

| My priority in mobilizing people begins first of all with the people working in schools in areas that are located in the 25 countries that he UNESCO has selected by five criteria: low enrolment rates for girls; gender gaps of more than 10 % in primary education, countries with more than 1 million girls out of school, countries included on the World Bank’s Education For All Fast Track Initiative and countries hard hit by a range of crises that affect school opportunities for girls, such as HIV/AIDS and conflicts. We shouldn’t underestimate how many people are wanting to make a difference, whether through giving or by raising a voice through signing petitions which will be addressed to decision making leader I believe that as we rally for new technology in developing countries we should also be mobilizing people through new media opportunities ourselves. My friendship with strategic people working in developing countries as well as in the media, will play an important role in accomplishing mobilizing people for justice. |

| mijn motivatie om te solliciteren op De Derde Kamer 2015: |
| I have recently decided to commit myself making a difference in the lives of girls, where ever and however I can. No doubt, growing up in a missionary family traveling the world, meeting people from different cultures and pioneering a project in Africa, has contributed to this desire. Those who know me will most likely describe me as a dreamer/visionary & pioneer, a ‘go getter’, someone who works well with others and has an unlimited portion of energy, a net worker, a team player and passionate a communicator. Most likely my background, personality and skills will benefit the Third Chamber 2015, I would also consider it as privilege to meet so many new people that are eager to contribute to a world with more dignity. |
